Why: Chukkers for Charity will benefit the Hematology and Oncology Program at
St. Louis Children’s Hospital, which is the largest comprehensive program for children with blood diseases or cancer in the region. The nation’s top physicians and nurses provide state‐of‐the‐art care for children of all ages in an environment that is uniquely designed for pediatric patients.
Chukkers for Charity is a special project of St. Louis Benefit Polo. Polo to benefit charities in the community has been a tradition for more than 100 years, dating back to October 1893 when the first benefit match was played for St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Highlights: One could not ask for a more glorious Fall day to enjoy the sport of polo. In a spirited match, Billy Busch's Kraftig team triumphed 9 to 8 over the worthy opposing Sansone/von Gontard team.
