WHAT: Stepping Out for a Cure (3.5 mile run)
WHERE: Tremayne Pavlion at Creve Coeur Park
WHEN: September 22
WHO: Co-chairs Debbie Morris (Volunteer of the Year), Rhonda Costa and Mary Bizzle; Foundation president Mary Blade; Fred and Ann Reif, emcee Jasmine Huda of KMOV-4 and 250 participants.
WHY: To remember 13-year-old Jessica Reif who passed away from the little-known disease and who want to raise awareness of it, and to raise funds for research, education and advances in its treatment.
HIGHLIGHTS: Raffle, family participation with breakfast, games, face painting, emergency vehicle tours, and the walk-run surrounded by the beautiful lake.
