Kueker headed business development for Arcturis and was responsible for landing national and local clients over the years. In addition, Kueker is a passionate community activist and has been awarded with the YWCA's President Award - one of only two such awards to be given in the last 21 years. This prestigious award recognized her extraordinary contributions to the community and to the YWCA of Metropolitan St. Louis. Last year, she was named a Woman of Achievement for her many charitable accomplishments. She has also been active on a number of Boards such as Food Outreach, St. Louis Community College Foundation, Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club, the OASIS Advisory Board, and she has been instrumental in raising funding for the St. Louis County Library Foundation and its new Center for Family History. Lift for Life Academy, the first independent Charter School established in the City of St. Louis, opened in 2000, serving students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Today the school offers high school grades as well and will experience its first high school graduation on May 15th. The school is supported by both State and Federal Funding and through fundraising. Total student enrollment, to date, is 570. Who: Gina Wischmeyer received the John Mann Presidential Award. Durb & Ellen Curlee received the Founders Award. The Monsanto Fund was presented with the Lift for Life Academy Community Partner Award. Jeff Bensky, Jeff Glik, Tami Fernandez, Debbie Champion Snyder Highlights: Highlighting the celebration was a New York runway-style fashion show featuring creations by Lift For Life Academy students. The show, with Emcee Melanie Moon, was coordinated and hosted by their teacher, Laura Kathleen Planck, along with Michael Drummond (who are both known from Project Runway). In addition,the evening include a champagne reception, festive feast prepared by Chef Kenny Hayden
, an auction, and live music by Just In Time.
